H-Wood Hit & Run Driver Collides w/ Victim - Again
Bound to a wheelchair and still in a world of pain, Crawford went face to face with the driver Heather Auger in Los Angeles County Superior Court today for a preliminary hearing. Sonic adept Robin Guthrie (ex-Cocteau Twins) and vocalist Siobhan de Mare (ex-Mono) made up the foggy dream pop of Violet Indiana. Shortly later on de Mare was sticking out of her Mono duties, she standard a healthy call from Guthrie, asking her if she'd wish to work with him. Unfamiliar with Guthrie's cult condition, she asked her sister roughly him and decided to take him up on the offer. In later 2000, the duo released the Gag EP on Bella Union, the label run by Guthrie and former Cocteau first mate Simon Raymonde. Retaining some of Guthrie's stylemark characteristics and combining them with de Mare's lazy, confident pitch, the Suffocate EP constituted them convincingly enough as something removed from Guthrie's prior dance orchestra -- a catchy thing so. 2001's full-length Roulette improved on the bright debut. A singles solicitation, Casino, followed in former 2002. Russian Doll was the right follow-up to Roulette, released in June of 2004.

Winehouse bailed in drug inquiry
A Scotland Yard spokesman said: "A 24-year-old woman from the Camden area attended a London police station by arrangement and was arrested in connection with the alleged possession of a controlled drug ... This is in connection with an investigation connected to [video] footage passed to the Metropolitan police on January 22."
Two weeks ago, Winehouse received a police caution for common assault after an early-morning fracas outside a bar in north London. The Grammy award-winning singer spent the night in a police cell after allegedly head-butting one man and punching another. At the time, her spokesman said she "slapped" a man with an open hand and accepted the caution.
That arrest coincided with a court appearance by Winehouse's husband, Blake Fielder-Civil, 26, who is awaiting trial for grievous bodily harm with intent following an altercation with a London pub landlord. He denies the charges.
Winehouse's turbulent personal life has coincided with an increasingly successful musical career: in February she won five Grammys, including record and song of the year for Rehab and best pop vocal album for her second LP, Back to Black. Problems with her application for a US visa meant she was unable to attend the awards ceremony in Los Angeles and performed live via a satellite link from London
Since last year, her problems have escalated. In October 2007, she and Fielder-Civil were arrested at a Norwegian hotel for marijuana possession, and soon afterwards fans booed her on stage as she slurred her way through gigs. Two months later she was photographed wandering barefoot on a London street, wearing only jeans and a bra and looking confused.

Over a decennium afterwards trey of the West Coast's peak tap artists -- Snoop Dogg, Warren G, and Nate Dogg -- stone-broke up their 213 tercet and pursued respectively successful solo careers, they reunited for a long-rumored, much-anticipated supergroup album, The Hard Way. The oft-told 213 narration is more or less of a West Coast rap legend. It begins at the daybreak of the '90s, a couple age ahead Dr. Dre unleashed The Chronic. At that clip, Snoop (born Calvin Broadus), Warren (Robert Penn Warren Griffin III), and Nate (Nathaniel Hale) were danton True Young and unknown thus far talented and wishful artists from Long Beach, an outlying region of Los Angeles. Snoop and Warren rapped piece Nate panax quinquefolius the melodies and maulers, and elysian by Richie Rich's 415 grouping from the Cali Bay Area, the ternary named itself afterwards its have area code, 213. In special, Warren was the to the highest degree enterprising member of the group and unbroken trying to turn his half-brother, the one and only Dr. Dre, on to 213. It was a priceless connective, and liking what he heard, Dre invited the ternary to get together his then-burgeoning Death Row Records camp. Snoop got to the highest degree of the attention, initially leading aboard Dre on "Deep Cover," a big 1992 hit that lay out the stage for the Doctor's Chronic album by and by that class. Of course, that album became a giant achiever, in commercial as well as artistic footing. Snoop became an overnight genius, and both Warren and Nate presently scene to stardom themselves on their rack up pas de deux "Regulate." Ten long time by and by Snoop remained atop the strike game, ane of the few perennial superstars -- not only when a recording artist merely as well a popular touring creative person, Hollywood actor, boutique label possessor, and media personality. However, the success Warren and Nate enjoyed with "Regularise" had simmered over the long time. Both retained tepid solo careers simply couldn't puzzle a good break. Then came a one-off collaborationism between these three former group match: "So Fly," a mixtape freestyle travesty of Monica's reach single "So Gone." The song became a surprise radio receiver and tube hit in summer 2003 and cursorily light-emitting diode to an album deal with TVT Records. The reunited 213 then hit the studio apartment, and rough a yr afterwards, in August 2004, The Hard Way was released to a lot fanfare, preceded by the release of principal individual "Groupie Luv."
